 - Google Voice - Paul Bombach
 
This lightning talk will cover what Google Voice is, what makes it useful, how to get it, and some controversies surrounding it.
 
 
 - Developing Google Maps Applications - Virender Ajmani
Virender is an employee of Compuware and an avid Google Maps developer in his own time.  You can find the work of Virender on his site dedicated to his mapping applications at http://www.mibazaar.com.  Virender's mapping mashups have been featured on the Google Maps home page, and featured in a number of news articles across the country, including the Detroit Free Press, the Los Angeles Times, Information Week magazine, Sun's Java site and more. Virender will talk about how he got into mapping development, walk you through a very interesting map application that he created which details his journey from India to ultimately residing in Michigan.  He will also talk about tapping into public APIs including Yahoo, YouTube, and Twitter API's to create mashups.  He will show you some of the resources he uses and explain how he develops his mashups.

 

- Google Wave Overview - Timothy Fisher

Tim will present an overview of Google Wave driven by a walkthrough of the Wave application.  Great opportunity to check out Wave for those who have not been able to get an account yet.
